Anson or Hanson, age twenty-seven, height sft. 6in., engine-driver or labourer, speaks with foreign accent, thin features, fair hair, grey eyes, fresh complexion; hesitates when speaking, and appears to be suffering from nervous debility; dressed in grey trousers, dark coat, and Gem straw hat.

Palmerston North. —loth instant, from the Tiratu Sawmilling Company’s yard, the property of WILLIAM MUNDAY, labourer, a gentlemen’s Red Bird bicycle, No. 177202, upturned handles, leather grips, rat-trap pedals, front mudguard has been broken but riveted, new mud-guard on back wheel; value, £B. Seddonville. sth ultimo, from a railway-van at Granity, the property of OSCAR JAMES LUNN, linesman, a brown tin trunk, no lock, tied with copper wire and cord, and containing two pairs of dungarees, two flannels, two white shirts, two pairs of boots (one pair new), a razor (branded “ Galvin ”), a brown jersey, four pairs of socks, a green-tweed cap, and a pair of underpants; total value, £5 15s.
