APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland.— Frederick Olaffsen, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable Drummond Otorohanga. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 363 )

Auckland. A. Cameron, theft: Warrant cancelled, (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 488.)

Auckland. Donald McDougal, deserter from H.M.S. “ Powerful,” has been arrested by Sergeant Rowell and Constable Gourley, Queen Street Wharf police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, pages 30 and 38.)

Auckland. —G. Payne, wanted on warrant for false pretences : Offender has been arrested by the Sydney police and committed for trial on a charge of forgery. He had assumed the name Edward Hine. (See Police Gazette 1912, page 417.)

Hamilton.— Edward Patrick Owen, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable Cavanagh, and amount paid (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 500.)

Napier,— John William O’Connell, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to Detective Mitchell Gisborne police. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 364.)

Te Kuiti. Fred WAlson, assault, has been served with a summons by Constable Connor, on information supplied by Constable McMullan, Wanganui police. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 103.)

Dannevirke. Gustav Rudolph Fiecken, has been arrested by Detective Mitchell, Gisborne police, on a charge of horse-stealing. He had assumed the names Frederick Watson and George Williams, but identity was established by Constable Maloney, Patutahi police. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 246.)

Wanganui.— Thomas Martin Shepherd, default of maintenance ; Warrant canoelied. (See Police Gazette, 1912 page 120.)

Wellington.— Frederick Parsloe, alias Richard Pratt, disobeying maintenance order, has been arrested by Constable Lowry, Morrinsviile police, and lodged in Wellington Prison.® (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 500.)

Wellington. —John McCarthy, alias McArthur, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to Constable Thompson, T'horndon police. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 500.)

Blenheim. —Edward Rabbits, jun., failiDg to provide for the maintenance of his illegitimate child, has been arrested by the Sydney police and extradited to this Dominion. (See Police Gazette, 1912, pages 132, 246, and 417.)

Greymouth.— Edward Connolly, travelling on train without paying bis fare, has been served with a summons by Constable Dillon, Greymouth police. (See Police Gazette , 1912, page 364.)

Christchurch.— James Anthony Persson, failing to provide for the maintenance of his illegitimate child, has been arrested by Constable Fitzpatrick, Marton police, on infoimation supplied by Acting - Detective Sweeney and Constable Grey, Palmerston North and Hunterville police, (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 500.)

Christchurch. —Arthur O’Brien, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable Williams, Seddon police, on information supplied by the Kaikoura police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 488.)

Timaru. — William Jackson, ship-desertion, has been arrested by Acting-Detective Mason, Wellington police, and sentenced to fourteen days. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 4.)

Dunedin. — Hugh Reid, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable Webb, Dunedin police. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 488.)

Invercargill. — John McGrath, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable Finch, Dunedin police, and fine paid. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 146.)

Port Chalmers. — T. Thomas, deserting s.s. “Opawa,” has been arrested by Constable Connor, Waitati police, on information supplied by Constable Almond, Port Chalmers police. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 512.)

Sydney.— Henry D. Page, deserter from H.M.S. “ Cambrian,” has been arrested. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 489.)

Sydney. William A. Snell, deserter from H.M.S. “ Powerful,” has been arrested. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 517.)
