MISSING.
Hastings. Since 26th September last, Charles Fargie, age thirty-seven, height about 5 fc. 10in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair hair and complexion, hair inclined to curl, clean-shaved except ginger moustache, scar on right side of nose; usually wears a blue coat and vest, brown trousers, and straw hat. On the above date he left Dannevirke, riding a dark-bay pony, and had with him two sheep-dogs. As nothing has been heard of him since, fears are entertained for his safety. Inquiry by his wife.
New Plymouth.— Since 24th ultimo, John Parham, age seventy (looks younger), height about 5 ft. 5 in., farmer, native of Somerset, England, thin build, fresh complexion, grey hair (bald on top), grey beard and moustache, has no teeth, small grey eyes; walks very erect; dressed in darktweed suit and hard black hat. Quiet inquiry requested by his wife, that he may be located.
Sumner. —Since about the 10th October last, Thomas Leonard Agar, age about thirty-four, height about 5 ft. 10 in., hotel waiter, native of New Zealand, stout build, dark-brown hair and moustache, dark eyes, clear complexion ; dressed in brown suit and hard black hat; fond of drink. He has not been in good health, and fears are entertained for his safety.
Oamaru.— Since sth ultimo, Charles Munsey, age seventeen, height 5 ft. 7 in., moulder, native of New Zealand, stout build, inclined to be bandy-legged, black hair, dark eyes ; dressed in dark suit, grey-tweed cap, and tan boots, black kerchief round his neck. Inquiry by his father, that he may be induced to return home and finish his trade as a moulder.
