Dunedin. —Between 23rd and 28th December last, from a hut in the railway-yard, the property of JAMES FREDERICK McIVOR, carpenter, a pair of men’s Balmoral boots, one or two small cuts on uppers, nails in soles ; a pair of dark-tweed trousers ; a ring; and a pillow : value, about £l. Identifiable.

Dunedin. —29th or 30th December last, between Dunedin and Wellington, the property of JOHN EDWIN COVENTRY, jeweller, a ladies’ gold half-hoop five-stone diamond ring, “New Zealand” and “18ct.” stamped on setting; value, £25. Identifiable. Complainant posted the ring, enclosed in a small box, on the second express at Dunedin, addressed to M. Heinimann, jeweller, Wellington. The package arrived apparently in good order, but the ring was missing.
