APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland.— Harry Archibald Quelch, wife desertion, has been arrested by Constable Cahvell, Freeman’s Bay police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette , 1908, page 49.)

Auckland. —Edward James Atkinson, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by Acting-Detective Issell, Auckland police, and amount paid. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 439.)

Auckland. — Ernest Jones, default of costs, has paid amount due to Constable McGlone, Onehunga police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 533.)

Newton. Thomas Bauer, breaking and entering Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette , 1910, page 371.)

Hamilton. John Bolton, alias Benet Evanus Bolton, theft, has been arrested by the Sydney police, and remanded to New Zealand. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 440.)

Hamilton. — Edwin Thomas Sharp, theft, surrendered himself to Hamilton police, and was sentenced to two years probation. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 439.)

Taihape. John Garmody, disorderly behaviour, has been served with a summons by Taihape police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 459.)

Wanganui.— Peter P. Smith, failing to provide, has been arrested by Constables West and Hodgson, Roslyn police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 253.)

Wanganui.— William Wilson, failing to provide : It has been ascertained by Constable Connor, Wanganui police, that offender has now returned to his wife. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 226.)

Palmerston North. —Michael Bitossi, having possession of moulds for making counterfeit coins, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 24.)

Palmerston North. Charles Holmes, theft, has been arrested by Sergeant J. Forster, Petone police, on information supplied by Detective Quirke, Palmerston North police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 2.)

Wellington.— Michael Minogue, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable Steere, Blenheim police, on information supplied by Acting-Detective Mason, Wellington police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 2.)

Christchurch.— George Hamilton, breach of Probation Act, has been arrested by Constable J. Cleary, Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 236.)

Christchurch.— William Howell, default of fine, has been arrested by Acting-Detective Osborn, Christchurch police, and amount paid. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 3.)

Timaru. —F. Thomas, alias James Doyle, alias McGovern, and Stephen Goulding, alias Grant, have been arrested for vagrancy by Detective Cassells, Wellington police, and sentenced to three months, and have also been charged by the detective with forging and uttering. Roxburgh. — Ben Wise, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by Constable Kidd, Waikouaiti police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 492.)
