Melbourne. —21st or 22nd ultimo, the shop of Roy McDougall, jeweller, Collins Street, was broken into, and the following articles stolen: Nine fancy enamel necklets, blue and green ; twelve amethyst necklets; fifteen torquoise and matrix necklets; six tourmaline necklets, green and pink; thirty-five pairs earrings, assorted stones, amethysts, pearls, and tourmalines, green and pink; three dozen brooches, golf-pattern, set with pearls and torquoises ; sixteen medals with raised centres, cricket, golf, and football; three dozen scarf-pins, pearls and torquoises ; also a single-stone diamond for stud combination; eight sovereign-purses, 18ct., 15ct., and 9ct., engraved and hall-marked; six silver sovereignpurses ; six dozen flexible bangles, set with pearls, pearls and torquoises, pearls and amethysts, plain, and Milanese ; three enamel blue expansion watch-bangles; two silver expansion watch-bangles; a rolled-gold watch-bangle; four pairs amethyst drops, cut all round; a ladies’ gold Waltham keyless watch; a gentlemen’s 18ct. gold hunting Waltham watch, inscribed “J. Donnelly, &c.” ; a 9 ct. gold bamboo bangle; a gentlemen’s gold albert, with charm (magnifying glass) attached; a coin bangle, Australian threepenny pieces, with gilt shilling; a pearl and amethyst earring ; a pink tourmaline necklet, with pearls; a green tourmaline necklet, with pearls; a double curb albert, 15ct., stamped with star ; two 9 ct. gold baby bangles; two expansion enamel bangles : value, £6OO.
