INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Scotland. —lnquiry requested for Charles Macintyre, height about 5 fc. 10 in., age not stated, butcher, native of Scotland, slim build, dark hair and eyes, rather thin in the face, pleasant manner ; may seek employment farming or in the frozen-meat trade. He arrived in Wellington on the 6th September, 1909, by the s.s. “ Arawa,” and no trace of him can be obtained since his arrival. Inquiry by his uncle, D. Hannah, 214 West Princess Street, Glasgow. If traced, information to be forwarded to the Inspector of Police, Christchurch.
New York. —Wanted for grand larceny, John J. Cauldwell, age fifty years, height 5 ft. 8J in., weight 180 lb., cleanshaved, grey hair (more dark than grey), inclined to baldness, dark eyes ; neat dresser, but not flashy (photograph filed in the Commissioner’s Office, Wellington). Joseph D. Yail, age thirty-four years, height 5 ft. 6in., weight 1851 b., blue eyes, dark hair and oomplexion, clean-shaved. Charles H. Greenfield, age forty-eight years, height 5 ft. 9in., blue eyes, dark-brown hair, now clean-shaved, has a cancer-sore on end of nose. Lawrence W. O’Connor, age forty-five years, height 5 ft. 8 in., weight 1991 b., blue eyes, mixed grey hair, is now clean-shaved. Frank R. Doran, age thirty years, height 5 ft. 7 in., weight 1501 b., medium build, black hair, dark eyes and complexion, clean-shaved. The first four named persons were formerly employed in the Department of Docks and Ferries, and the last-named person was formerly employed in the Comptroller’s Office of the City of New York. If located, information to be forwarded to the Commissioner’s Offioe, Wellington. (10/1865.)
