APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Whangabei.— John Thompson, alias Hayes, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable Vessey, Auckland police, and lodged in Auckland Prison. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 107.)

Auckland.— Michael Burke, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable J. Lander, and lodged in Auckland Prison. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 27.) Offender is identical with John Michael Burke. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 354.)

Auckland. Frank Stokes, alias Tozer, wifedesertion, has been arrested by Detective J. Fahey, Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 35.)

Hastings. — Mrs. Remainis, default of fine, has been located by Constable Townsend, Masterton police, on information supplied by Constable Quinn, Wellington police, and amount paid. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 54.)

New Plymouth. - Robert Lord, alias Lander, alias Lauder, alias Morton, has been served with summons by Acting-Detective A. E. Andrews, Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, pages 97 and 130.)

Palmeeston Nobth. — Arthur W. Dubois has gone to England, and joined the Army. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 230.)

Shannon.— Henry Staunton, default of fine, has been located by Constable J. Esson, Shannon police, and fine paid. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 71.)

Levin. — Joseph Rae, theft, has been arrested by Constable Hammond, on information supplied by Constable Cameron, Richmond police, and remanded to Levin. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 119 )

Gbeytown.— James Patrick O’Brien, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable Townsend, Masterton police, and lodged in prison. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 54.)

Petone.— Robert Coulston, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable J. H. Sweeney, Wanganui police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 264.)

Mount Cook.— Gertrude Sims has paid the amount due to Sergeant Rutledge, Mount Cook police. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 282.)

Chbistchubch.— Charles Leonard Hewson, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable C. Osborn, Rakaia police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 118.)

Christchurch. — Alfred Talke, absconding from industrial school, has been arrested by Constable Glass, Temuka polioe, and returned to the Receiving Home. (See Police Gazette , 1909, page 110.)

Christchurch.— Angus, alios Archie Mclnnes, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable Glass, Temuka police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette , 1909, page 108.)

Christchurch.— William Hoft, disobeying an order of the Court, has been arrested by Constables J. Andrew and J. O’Brien, Christchurch police, and seutenced to six months’ imprisonment. (S°e Police Gazette, 1907, pages 385 and 414.)

Westport.— Thomas Patrick Kelly, child-desertion, has bee i arrested by Acting-Detective A. E. Andrews, Wellington police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 326.)

Dunedin. — Karl Frederick Neilson, ship-desertion : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1909, pages 80 and 88.)

Sydney. Arthur Stanley Evans, deserter from H.M.S. “Psyche,” has been arrested. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 413.)
