Auckland. —7th instant, from the bedroom of PHILIP GANNAWAY, King’s Court Boardinghouse, a plain lighttan morocco-leather toilet-case, containing a hair-brush, clothes-brush, a Crown razor with white handle, a buttonhook, manicure file, bevel mirror, shaving-strop, black comb, an electro-plated soap-dish and powder-box, and toothbrush bottle; also a black-handle Bengal razor in leather case : total value, £3 7s. 6d. Identifiable.

Auckland. —2sth ultimo, from the dwelling of ZILLAH NIXON, Nelson Street, a ladies’ gold neck-chain, oval links, broken in three or four places, and tied with black and white cotton; one large oval locket, chased on sides, black and white hair inside; a gentlemen’s metal hunting-watch and metal-link figure-eight-twist chain with bar, and one old Brown Barrett token medal thereon : total value, £6. He is described as about twenty-six years of age, height about 5 ft. 6 in. or 7 in., medium build, dark hair and complexion, clean-shaved ; dressed in dark sac suit and black-and-white check cap. Identifiable.

Parnell. —3rd instant, from the dwelling of WALTER PAVITT, St. Stephen’s Avenue, a cigarette-box, containing ten sovereigns, and fifteen Victorian postal stamps, valued at ss. each; a gilded-silver medal engraved “C. R. 0. to W. Pavitt, in Trial Pours,” value 10s.; five Melbourne cricket medals, gilded, value ss. each; a silver chain about 12 in. long, no bar or catoh, long-link pattern, value 7s. ; a large band ring, gold-plated, set with amethysts and diamonds, value £1 ; a plain gold bar brooch, with knob at each end set with large sapphire, value £5; a ladies’ plain gold band bracelet set with pearls in horseshoe in centre, clasp broken, value £1 55.; a large opal set in gold for tie-pin, broken, value 12s. Newton. —Between 15th ultimo and 9th instant, from the premises of JAMES TATTERSFIELD, draper, two rainproof grey overcoats, vertical pockets, sizes 5 and 6, branded ‘‘Monsoon Showerproof” in yellow letters near the tab, value £2 ss. each ; two pairs of brownish-coloured trousers, rivet buttons, sizes 4 and 5, value 10s. each.

Gisborne.— loth instant, from the s.s. “ Monowai,” or Gisborne Wharf, property of H. J. BENTLEY, actor, a Gladstone bag covered with labels, containing a doublebreasted blue suit, small boxes of note and account books, underclothing marked “H. J. Bentley,” a syphon and sparklets; value, £l2.

Ormondville. —Between 15th September last and 15th March, from the stable of G. A. GAMMAN AND CO., sawmillers, eight horse-covers, “ G. D. May ” on them, and a horse’s name on each cover, amongst them being Punch, Bloss, Nugget, and Darkey; also five fairly well-worn horse-collars and three sets of harness : value, £ls. Identifiable.

Stratford. — 13th instant, from the bedroom of THOMAS LAWLESS, Stratford Hotel, a gentlemen’s gold huntingwatch, No. 15777, monogram “T. L.” on outside case, “Presented to Mr. Thomas Lawless by J. Hogan Smith and Co., for Long and Faithful Services, March, 1897,” engraved on inside of case ; a gentlemen’s gold albert with bar in centre; a three-cornered rough-quartz pendant; a gold sovereign-case, “ T. L.” engraved thereon, two dents in case ; a gold opal dagger brooch; a gold, diamond, and sapphire straight-bar brooch; and £2 in silver: total value, £35. Entrance effected by the fire-escape. Suspicion attached to two Men, names unknown. First: Age twenty-four, height 5 ft. 7 in., medium build, ruddy complexion, clean-shaved, large nose and mouth ; dressed in dark suit and dark-tweed oap. Second: Age thirty, height sft. Bin., medium build, florid complexion, clean-shaved, brown hair turning grey over the ears; dressed in dark-tweed suit and cap, high collar, gold chain across the vest.

Hawera. 2nd instant, from outside the Borough Chambers, property of CHRIS ANDERSEN, labourer, a gentlemen’s new Rhoda bicycle, No. 112373, steel mudguards, rubber pedals, Empire saddle, Cambridge covers, upturned handle-bars ; value, £ls. Identifiable. A Man, name unknown, was seen to take the bicycle away, age about twenty-six, height about sft. 7 in., medium build, clean-shaved except a small stunted sandy moustache, dark complexion and hair, black hard hat; dressed in dark clothes.

Wanganui. —lsth instant, from the bedroom of DAVID CROMPTON, butcher, a metal open-faced keyless lever watch, No. 341805, “F. Olds ” engraved on inside of case, value £1 55.; a silver curb chain, and a silver sovereigncase (“E.A.” engraved on it), value £1 12s. 6d. Identifiable.

Featherston. —13th or 14th instant, from the paddock of CHARLES RAND, carter, a nearly new white canvas horsecover, fastened with a buckle and strap in front, “RAND” in black letters on off side ; value, £l. Identifiable.
