INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney. —lnquiry requested for Samuel John Folglase, age thirty-one, curly hair, light moustache; is said to have left Sydney for Auckland about October, 1902. Inquiry through Christchurch police by his wife, residing at No. 23 Darling Street, Glebe, Sydney.
Brisbane. —lnquiries requested as to the whereabouts of Walter Doneley, wanted as "a witness for the defence in the case Rex v. Cook, stealing, asji servant at Toowoomba, age about thirty-five, stout square build, large fair moustache, whiskers clipped to a point, short nose, generally wears blue-serge or heavy-tweed suit and Panama hat, is a native of Queensland, and is said to have resided in New Zealand some time ago, and to have spent a considerable time amongst the Maories. West Maitland. —A warrant has been issued by the West Maitland Bench for the arrest of Donald Campbell, charged with embezzling the sum of £4 Bs. 9d., the property of the Greta Coal-mining Company. He is from thirty-five to thirty-eight years of age, 5 ft. 9 in. high, medium build, dark hair, brown eyes, light-brown moustache only, sallow complexion, high forehead, square jaw, quick and nervous movements ; dressed in a blue-serge suit, black hard hat, and tan boots; a railway-station master. Left by train for Sydney on the 9th instant, accompanied by his wife and two children, one in arms, the other a girl six years of age and dumb. May endeavour to go to Tasmania or New Zealand.
