APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Hastings.— George Edhouse, alias Henry Edgehurst, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by Constable G. C. Clouston, Wanganui police, on information supplied by Detective J. Siddells, and lodged in Wanganui Gaol. (See Police Gazette, 1902, page 35.)

Dannevirke. Thomas McLaughlan, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable Thompson, Dargaville police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 37.)

Masterton.— James O’Brien, alias Purcell, assault, has been arrested by Constable H. S. Kyle, Masterton police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 89.)

Christchurch. John Black, theft from Thomas Henry Atkinson, has been arrested by Detective F. S. Cox, and Acting-Detective E. Eade, Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 46.)

Ashburton. William George Smith, theft from C. Begg and Co., has been arrested by Constable Donovan, Akaroa police. (See Police Gazette, 1906, : page 2.)

Oamaru. — Henry Windleburn, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable D. Carmody, Blenheim police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1904, pages 335 and 343.)

Sydney.— Lewis Hart, deserter from H.M.S. “ Phoebe,” at Sydney, has been traced by Acting-Detective A. Cameron, Wellington police. He is employed by Fielder and Co., and holds a certificate of discharge from the Navy, dated 6th February, 1906.
