PROPERTY STOLEN.

% Wanganui. —27th ultimo, the property of CHARLES HAMILTON KNOWLES, insurance agent, a gentlemen’s Rudge-Whitworth bicycle, No. 70072, turned-down handles, top of front fork black enamelled instead of nickel, well worn ; value, £B. Identifiable.

Mangaweka. —Between 15th October last and Ist January last, from the paddock of WILLIAM JOHN McCOARD, farmer, eighty mixed sheep (ewes and lambs and two-tooth mixed hoggets), fork out of point and punch-hole in left ear, and back piece out of right ear for ewes, and vice versa for wethers; value, £IOO. Supposed identifiable. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 21). It is now, considered|doubtful if t any sheep were stolen.

Petone. —l3th instant, from the dwelling of MAHTON HIRST, engineer, Koro Koro, Petone, a gentlemen’s Swiss open-faced silver watch, “ W. C. Priestler ” on inside of case, and “ W.C.P.” in monogram, on outside of case; a 9 ct. gold curb albert; a gold bar brooch with diamond at each end and one in centre ; a ladies’ gold chain with gold-mounted greenstone heart attached ; value, £l9 10s. Identifiable.

Mount Cook (Wellington). —lsth January last, from a room at the Basin Reserve, the property of VICTOR WATTERS, care of Levin and Co., a ladies’ silver hunt-ing-watch, plain case, no glass, monogram “A.C.” on outside of case ; value, £3. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —l6th ultimo, from Worcester Street, the property of FRANK WEBSTER, 46 Manchester Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled bicycle, rat-trap pedals, roller chain ; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Christchurch.— lst instant, from back of Canterbury Hall, the property of WILLIAM WORRALL, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled bicycle, No. 23 on front undei handle-bars ; value, £6. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —26th ultimo, from Lichfield Street, the property of DESMOND COGAN, clerk, a gentlemen’s Swift bicycle, No. 190635, 23 in. frame, Brooks saddle; value, £l2. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —2sth ultimo, from the City Hotel right-of-way, the property of RICHARD HOOPS, Lichfield Street, a gentlemen’s Bell bicycle, “ No. 1, Edie,” black-enamelled, Dunlop tyres, upturned handles ; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Christchurch.— 6th January last, from the Christchurch Railway-station, the property of SYDNEY HISLOP, care of Stewart, Dawson, and Co., a bow-saw, two sets of chamfers, a box of French-cloth brushes, two dozen bow-saw blades, a brown wooden box containing a lathe; value, £3 10s. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —l3th instant, the property of Mrs. LEAH JOHNSON, boardinghouse-keeper, a ladies’ 15 ct. gold band ring, “ H.C.” on inside; a ladies’ 9 ct. gold neck-chain, greenstone pendant with “ N.Z.” in gold thereon attached : value, £2 Bs. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Pearl Gavnell, age nineteen, height 5 ft., a domestic, fair complexion, blue eyes, light-brown hair, red face, pug nose. Her present address is care of Mrs. Walters, Wingfield Street, Wellington.

Waitahuna. —Between 15th January last and Ist instant, the property of PATRICK COTTER, farmer, Greenfield, twenty-three half-bred lambs, seven tw'o-tooth crossbred wethers, twelve six- and eight-tooth crossbred ew 7 es. All branded with diagonal line through parallelogram on near shoulder ; some have “V ” out of top of off ear and slit on bottom of near ear : value, £42. Identifiable.
