Auckland. —William Currie, architect, Wood Street, reports stolen from Queen Street, on the 26th ultimo, a gentlemen’s American made bicycle, No. 2865 (in white enamel on front bar); value, £B.

Auckland. Thomas Carmichael, seaman, reports stolen from his bunk on the barque “Clan McLeod,” on the 24th August last, a gentlemen’s silver hunting chronograph watch, gold hands, steel second hand, cases chased; value, £8 Bs. Identifiable.

Wanganui.— Peter Donald Grant is charged on warrant with theft, on the 2nd instant, of a Rambler bicycle (recovered), the property of Samuel George Thorne; value, £25. Description : A native of New Zealand, clerk, twenty years of age, oft. Bin. high, about list, weight, slight stoop, very fair complexion, fair hair, slight fair moustache only which he is constantly fingering; dresses in light suit and light skull-cap or straw hat. Was formerly a clerk at Sargood, Sons, and Ewen, in Dunedin, where he has a brother a photographer. Is fond of races.

Masterton. —David, alias Edward, Harris, charged on warrant with theft of a bicycle from Thomas J. Dwyer, was last seen about the 19th ultimo at Mauriceville carrying a hand-camera.

Wellington.— Ernest G. Breeze is charged on warrant with theft of £22, at New Plymouth, between the 7th and 18th September, 1903, the property of his employers, William Brooks and Go. Description : Supposed American,

about thirty-five years of age, short, medium build, dark complexion, dark moustache only, a book-canvasser; was in Auckland on 22nd ultimo.

Christchurch. J. W. Massey, insurance agent, reports stolen from outside the Masonic Hotel, on the 29th August last, a gentlemen’s Star bicycle, flat handle bars with white tips, rat-trap pedals ; value, £9. Identifiable.

Christchurch.— Albert Edward Doell, carpenter, reports stolen from a shed at Anderson’s Foundry, on the Bth August last, a smoothing-plane, maker Mathieson ; a 9 in. square ; two lin. chisels, maker Maples; a fin. and a in. chisel; “A. E. Doell” on all the tools : value, £1 10s. Identifiable.

Christchurch.— Arthur Gardiner, canvasser, reports stolen from the cloak-room of the Skating Rink, on the 29th July last, a black Chesterfield overcoat, “ R. J. Munro ” on the tab ; value, £4 10s. Identifiable.

Christchurch.— Dias de Silva, jewellery stolen : It is do lbtful if the goods were stolen, as complainant panned £3OO worth of jewellery in Christchurch two weeks before the alleged theft, and was also selling his goods cheap. He has recently become bankrupt.

Cookson, clerk, Esk Street, reports stolen from the passage of the South British Insurance Buildings, on the 13th or 14th ultimo, a dark slate-coloured rainproof Chesterfield coat, may have “Ross and Glendining” on collar, a pair of slate-coloured deer-skin gloves were in one of the pockets ; value, £2.
