Absconding from Industrial School.

John Thomas O’Sullivan absconded from Burnham Industrial School on the 21st January last. Description : Sixteen years and five months old, 5 ft. 3in high, blue eyes, brown hair, dark spot on top of head ; dressed in blue-dungaree coat and moleskin trousers. Committed from Auckland on the 21st October, 1901. His mother, Mrs. Herbert, lived at Bull’s.

George Adams absconded from Burnham Industrial School on the 22nd February last. Description : Fifteen years and ten months old, about 5 ft. 6 in. high, light hair, pale complexion, slight build ; dressed in dark-tweed suit and straw hat.

Charles Bromley absconded from Burnham Industrial School on the 29th April last. Description : Eighteen years and eleven months old, sft. 6 in. high, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes; dressed in dungaree trousers, tweed coat, navy-blue jersey, and grey wideawake hat. His parents reside at Tapanui. (See Police Gazette, 1903, page 28.)

Alexander Harwood absconded from Burnham Industrial School on the 18th May last. Description: Seventeen years of age, looks older, 5 ft. 8 in. high, very stout" build, broad smiling face, light hair and eyes; dressed in bluedungaree suit and imitation Panama hat.

Ernest Alfred Doreen absconded from Burnham Industrial School on the 19th May last. Description : Seventeen years and seven months old, about 5 ft. 3 in. high, sharp sly expression, dark curly hair; dressed in dark-tweed suit. Committed from Wellington in August, 1899.

Albert Arthur Norman absconded from Burnham Industrial School on the 23rd May last. Description : Fifteen years of age, looks older, 5 ft. 5 in. high, snub nose, medium build, face covered with large freckles, small features, slightly deaf, sharp abrupt manner and movements, very particular about his personal appearance ; dressed in moleskin trousers, navy-blue jersey, and dungaree coat. Committed from Coromandel in September, 1898.

Frederick Newald absconded from Burnham Industrial School on the 26th May last. Description : Fourteen years of age, 5 ft. IJin. high, slight build, pale complexion, grey eyes, very light hair, long fingers; dressed in knicker suit, long stockings, heavy books, jersey with blue and black bands. Committed from Auckland in February last.

Henry Marslem absconded from Burnham Industrial School on the 22nd June last. Description : Seventeen years and three months old, 5 ft. 3 in. high, large ears, freckled face, sad expression, an expert thief; dressed in browntweed knicker suit, long stockings, heavy boots. Father lives in Taranaki Street, Wellington.

Broberg, Wellington police, for issuing a valueless cheque to Charles Baddeley (see “Offences not otherwise described,” this issue of Police Gazette).
