Eden Terrace (Auckland). William Henry Stokes, Kyber Pass Hoad, reports stolen from his dwelling, on the Ist instant, a silver open-faced Geneva watch, silver dial, gilt figures, and a hollow-ground razor; value, 16s. 6d. Identifiable.

Napier. —George Coffey reports stolen from his tent, on the 4th or sth instant, two double-barrelled breech-loading guns and a gun-case lined with green baize; one gun in good order, the other has one hammer missing: value, £ls 6s. Identifiable.

Taradale. —Mary D. A. Tanner reports stolen from her bedroom, on the 2nd ultimo, a ladies’ gold half-hunting keyless Geneva watch, No. 95056, M. engraved on back case, a white-silk-ribbon guard attached; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Eltham. —Alfred Henry Guy, blacksmith, reports stolen from his dwelling, on the 2nd instant, a nearly new dark sac suit of clothes, size 5, “Hendry and Sons, Dunedin,” on tab, a tear about 1£ in. long in right-hand pocket; and a white sweater : value, £3. Identifiable.

Palmerston North. —James Fisher, drover, reports stolen from his dwelling, Albert Street, on the Ist instant, a ladies’ small open-faced Geneva watch chased on back; a ladies’ long gold neck-chain with small links, broken in several places and repaired with gold rings and black cotton ; a gold bar brooch set with an amethyst, small pearls on each side; a gold ring set with a ruby, chased on each side ; and a plated butter-knife : value, £5 15s. Identifiable.

Palmerston North.— Lila Lindsay, wife of J. Lindsay, jockey, Auckland, reports stolen from her bedroom in the Cafe de Paris, on the 29th ultimo, a ladies’ gold open-faced lever watch, “ S. A. Lindsay, from her loving husband,” scratched on inside of case ; value, £l2. Identifiable.

Wellington. —James Thomas Everard, pressman, reports stolen from him, on the 17th ultimo, a gentlemen’s gold open-faced English lever watch, No. 32181; a heavy gold graduated curb chain, well worn; a plain gold sovereign-case ; a small tortoise-shell pocket-knife with two blades, spring at side to open; a bunch of four keys, having steel label with complainant’s name on it; a white-silk handkerchief ; a firstclass yearly reporter’s railway ticket; a gentlemen’s blacksilk umbrella, plain hook handle of knotted wood: value, about £23. Identifiable.

Wellington. —John Benjamin Barrington, wharf-labourer, reports stolen from his bedroom in the Orient Dining-rooms, between the 21st ultimo and Bth instant, a gentlemen’s 15-carat gold Waltham hunting-watch, No. 8459834 ; a 9-carat gold double curb chain, with a silver and a gold medal attached, the latter has M. W. engraved on one side and “ Mapbad, Odessa, 1890,” on the other; a gentlemen’s 15-carat gold band ring set with a large garnet: value, £2l.

Wellington. —John O’Neil, labourer, reports stolen from his bedroom, in No. 81, Willis Street, on the 7th ultimo, a 15-carat gold chain, links joined with small fancy links, the bar of chain cracked, a half-sovereign pendant ; value, £3. Identifiable.

Martinborough. —Mrs. P. Badland reports stolen from her dwelling, between the 11th and 13th instant, two wellworn white blankets; a brown rug with red stripe on one side, frayed at the ends; a pair of brown-tweed trousers with dark stripe ; a dark check-pattern coat and vest ; white shirt with a blue stripe, pique collar and cuffs ; two plain silver studs, half-moon fastening: value, £5. Suspicion attached to Patrick McNamera, a native of Ireland, labourer, thirtyeight years of age, 5 ft. 7 in. or 8 in. high, medium build, clean-shaved, long face; dressed in greyish suit and light slouch hat ; was carrying a swag, and seeking employment horse-clipping.

Ashburton. — Walsh is charged on warrant with theft from the bar of the Ashburton Hotel, on the Ist instant, of a swag, the property of Samuel Payne, labourer, containing two grey blankets (one torn near the selvage), a new white 6 ft. by 8 ft. tent, a pair of woollen drawers, two nearly new flannels with pieces on back and front to make them longer, two dungaree jackets and trousers, and a packing-needle and palm ; value, £4. Description: A. native of Ireland, sixty years of age, about 5 ft. 8 in. high, stout build, grey hair beard and whiskers, stooped, very dirty appearance ; dressed in dirty dark suit and grey cap. Supposed identical with Patrick Ryan, an old soldier.

Caversham. —Lucy Burns reports that her dwelling, Richmond Street, was broken into between the 9th and 14th ultimo, and a silver Rotherham hunting-watch, No. 167772, stolen; value, £6 10s. Identifiable.

Mornington (Dunedin). Two men, names unknown, are charged on warrant with assaulting John Golder, licensee of the Mornington Hotel, on the 9fch instant, and stealing £l3 from the till. Descriptions : First —About thirty years of age, about 5 ft. 9 in. high, sallow complexion, clean-shaved, straight thin features, active appearance, about 11 st. weight; dressed in dark-tweed sac suit and black hardfelt hat. Second—About twenty-seven years of age, 5 ft. 8 in. high, medium build, clean-shaved, pale complexion, active appearance, about 11 st. weight; dressed in dark-tweed sac coat, grey trousers and vest, and dark soft-felt hat. Both identifiable by Mr. Golder.

King Street (Dunedin). Robert Adcock, butcher, reports stolen from his dwelling, Castle Street, on the 9th instant, a gentlemen’s gold ring, R.A. engaved on it; a ladies’ gold ring with five garnets set in fretwork; a ladies’ gold ring with diamond set in buckle; a gold oval brooch set with seven garnets, two very small pieces of gold chains hanging from the bottom; a ladies’ neck-chain, small round links, with small gold heart attached ; a ladies’ dark-green leather purse mounted in white metal; two small white-handled pocket-knives, two blades in each, one of the blades broken and ground sharp ; and about £1 ss. in silver : value, about £l2.
