Horse and Cattle Stealing.

Thames. —Kahoroi Hikairo, gum-digger, reports stolen from the Parawai Racecourse, on the 2nd instant, a bay hack, about twenty years old, branded T.G. on off shoulder, shod all round ; also an old English-made saddle with the tree broken : value, £l7.

(See Police Gazette, 1903, page 64). Cambridge.— Peter Jackson, alias Thomas Duncan, charged with theft of Tarika te Hura’s horse, has been arrested by Constable Bern, Rotorua police, on information supplied by Constable A. McGilp. Horse recovered.

Te Puke.— George Spooner, blacksmith, reports stolen, on the 19th or 20th ultimo, a dark-bay gelding, aged, 15J hands high, black points, black mane and tail, small indent on near side close to girth ; value, £l3. Identifiable.

Napier. James Patterson, commission agent, reports stolen from a paddock off Milton Road, on the 21st or 22nd ultimo, a bay gelding, eight years old, 15 hands high, black points, near hind foot white, branded HK I on near rump ; value, £ls. Identifiable.

Pleasant Point.— Prank Edwards, alias Hicks, charged with theft of a horse, the property of John McParlane Ritchie, also with theft of a saddle and bridle from John Kane, and absconding from the Burnham Industrial School, has been arrested by Constable R. W. Shepherd, Kurow police.
