Auckland. — Harry Giles is charged on warrant with deserting his wife, Ethel Giles, since the 26th ultimo Description : A native of Aratapu, New Zealand, about twentythree years of age, about 5 ft. 10 in. high, fair hair, blue eyes, four upper front teeth missing; dressed in vicuna suit or brown-tweed coat and vest and light-tweed trousers. Feilding. — Arthur Carson is charged on warrant of commitment to Wanganui Gaol for one month in default of paying £8 7s. expenses incurred for the confinement of Hilda ITaybittle, the mother of his illegitimate child. An order has also been made for him to pay 7s. 6d. a week for the support of the child. Description: Supposed English, carpenter and painter, twenty-one years of age, 5 ft. 7in. high, medium build, dark-brown hair, brown eyes, walks quickly, and keeps his hands in his trousers pockets; generally wears a dark suit and hard black hat.

Palmerston North. — James Crombie is charged on warrant with failing to provide for his illegitimate children. Description : A native of New Zealand, a ploughman and milker, about twenty-six years of age, 5 ft. 9 in. high, strong bony build, brown hair, ginger moustache only. He was working for George Dear, Awahuri, and is supposed to have gone South to his father, who had a milk-run at One-trep Hill, Southland. Complainants, Grace Dear and Sarah Marsh.

Christchurch.— Thomas Beegan is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of Court to pay ss. a week towards the maintenance of each of his children. Description : A native of England, a labourer, and may be working in a grain store, about forty-five or fifty years of age, about 5 ft. 4 in. high, medium build, grey eyes, dark hair turning grey, clean-shaved except iron-grey moustache. There was due in arrears on the 10th instant the sum of £B.

Temuka.— James McQuinn is charged on warrant with deserting his child since November, 1902. Description : A native of Liverpool, labourer, forty-three years of age, 5 ft. 6 in. high, light-brewn hair turning grey, thin straggling sandy beard and moustache turning grey, blue eyes, pug nose, tattooed on arms ; generally dressed in dark tweed and soft hat; slovenly appearance; fond of drink. Dunedin. — Robert Olliver is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child. Description: A native of New Zealand, coalminer, twenty-two years of age, 5 ft. 6in. high, dark curly hair, clean-shaved ; dressed in dark suit and hard black-felt hat. Was last seen at Kaitangata on the 4th instant, and may be found harvesting. Photograph filed in the Inspector’s office, Dunedin. Complainant, Bella Forrest, domestic, Kaitangata.
