Auckland.— Leopold Ahrens is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of Court to pay 10s. a week towards the support of his wife. Description : A native of New Zealand, a salesman and hawker, twenty-eight years of age, 5 ft. 9 in. high, medium build, fair hair, small fair moustache, grev eyes, one front top tooth false. (See Police Gazette, 1900, page 87, and 1901, page 30.) The sum of £4 10s. was due on the 3rd instant.

Auckland.— Walter Charles Marlborough, alias Professor Besant, alias Fern, is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of Court to pay £1 a week towards the support of his wife. Description: A native of New Zealand, a carpenter, about twenty-six years of age, 6 ft. high, medium build, dark complexion, dark hair, clean-shaved except small dark moustache; dressed in dark sac suit and black bard-felt hat. Supposed gone to Auckland on the 20th October last, and may be with his married sister, Mrs. J. R. Leikes, Napier Street. He is a nephew of John McLean, contractor, and was working at the Glasgow Wharf, Wellington, until he left.

Christchurch. — Henry Hanson is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the future maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child. Description : A native of New Zealand, a brick-maker, twenty-two years of age, about 6 ft. high, slight build, dark complexion and hair, small dark moustache only, blue eyes, small straight nose, two front teeth missing; dressed in brown sao suit, brown cap. Complainant : Frances Wooldridge, 78, Chester Street, Christchurch.

Timaru. — John Breadley is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of Court to pay 7s. 6d. a week towards the support of his illegitimate child. Description : A native of New Zealand, a farm-hand, about twenty-seven years of age, about 5 ft. 9 in. high, square build, thin features, fresh complexion, small dark-sandy moustache only, first joint of one thumb missing; dressed in dark-tweed suit and hard dark hat; was in Temuka on 3rd instant, and may attempt to leave the colony. The sum of £122 is now due, the order being made on the 27th May, 1894, when offender left for Queensland. Complainant; Jane Maopherson Grant, Pleasant Point.

Gore. — William Baltimore is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the maintenance of his wife. Description : A native of Scotland, a saddler, forty-two years of age, 5 ft. 6in. high, rather stout build, fair hair and complexion, round features, sear near right eye.
