Auckland.— William Edward Donaldson is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the maintenance of his illegitimate child. Description : A native of New Zealand, a fitter (recently employed by the Auckland Gas Company), about twenty-two years of age, 5 ft. 4 in. high, stoutish build, reddish-coloured hair, busby in front, clean-shaved,

bluish eyes, fresh complexion, swaggers when walking. May be found in the West Coast district working at his trade. Complainant: Lizzie Webb Jones, Newmarket, Auckland.

Auckland. — Daniel Lindsay is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of Court to pay 7s. a week for the support of his illegitimate child. Description : A native of Auckland, a groom, twenty-one years of age, about 5 ft. 5 in. high, sallow complexion, clean-shaved, flat nose ; dressed in serge coat, white-cord riding-pants, gaiters, and soft cap. Wa3 engaged as groom for horses used during the Royal visit. Is a brother of the jockey Samuel Lindsay.

He lived with his mother at New Brighton, and was last seen at Linwood on the 28th ultimo. Complainant: Mary Hanlon, Bromley, Christchurch.

Description : A native of England a plumber, about twenty-one years of age, about 5 ft. 8 in. or 9in. high, medium build, light-brown hair, grey eyes, large nose, bad teeth and far apart, clean-shaved, broad shoulders, erect gait; usually dressed in dark-blu6 sac suit and white-straw hat. Was seen at Riccarton on the 23rd ultimo. His parents reside at Timaru. Complainant: Amy Knudson, Islam Cottage, Riccarton.

Christchurch. — Edward Harris is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child. Description: A native of New Zealand, a working jeweller, twenty-three years of age, 5 ft. 5 in. or 6 in high, sallow complexion, light-brown hair, blue eyes, clean-shaved, front upper teeth wide apart, stout build, broad shoulders, short neck; generally dresses in black suit with fawn coloured covert coat and hard blackfelt hat; wears a silver watch chain and gold ring with buckle. Parents reside in Stanmore Road, Christchurch. Complainant: Jean Duthie McKenzie, 275, Colombo Street, Christchurch.

Christchurch.— Alexander Charles Mills is charged on warrant of commitment to Invercargill Gaol for three weeks for disobeying an order of Court to pay 4s. a week towards the support of his illegitimate child. Description : A photographer and canvasser, about thirty-one years of age, 5 ft. 11 in. high, stout build, round full face, dark hair, brown moustache, slight scar on forehead, deep voice ; generally dressed in light-tweed suit and tweed cap. May be about Winton or Invercargill. (See Police Gazette, 1900, pages 242 and 258.) The sum of £3 17s. is now in arrears up to the 2nd April, 1901.

I Christchurch.— William Henry Ryan is charged on /warrant with deserting his wife, Annie Helena Ryan, since ?/ the 2nd instant. Description : A native of New Zealand, a ' farmer and drover, and was recently hotelkeeping, about thirty-four years of age, about 6 ft. 4 in. high, well built, square shoulders, erect gait, fair complexion, dark-brown hair, blue eyes, clean-shaved except small fair moustache ; usually dressed in dark suit, fawn covert coat, and fawn leggings when riding. Will probably be found droving or about sheep-and-cattle yards. Supposed to be about Dunedin and employed as special constable there during the Royal visit.

Christchurch.— Arthur John Agar is oharged on warrant with failing to provide for the maintenance of his

illegitimate child. Description: A native of New Zealand, engineer’s apprentice, twenty years of age, 5 ft. 2 in. high, slight build, fair hair, fair complexion, blue eyes; dresses well. Was employed at the Addington Workshops. Complainant: Mabel Fanny Graham, Cordovan Street, Sydenham.

Christchurch.— Robert Ash is charged on warrant of commitment to Lyttelton Gaol for three months for disobeying an order of Court to pay 15s. a week towards the maintenance of his wife. Description: A native of Ireland, a labourer, twenty-nine years of age, 6 ft. high, medium build, fair complexion, light-brown hair, fair moustache only, brown eyes, erect gait, burn scar on chest; dresses in dark-tweed sac suit and light-brown Dr. Jim hat. On the 4th ultimo there was due the sum of £8 11s.

Christchurch.— John Marigold is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the maintenance of his illegitimate chlid. Descripiion ; Supposed native of New Zealand, a wool-washer, about twenty-three years of age, about 5 ft. 8 in. high, slight build, dark complexion and hair, blue eyes, clean-shaved, two wreaths tattooed on one of his arms, “ L.P.K.” in one, and “ J.M.” in the other wreath, bulletwound in palm of one hand. Supposed gone to Dunedin. Complainant: Elizabeth King, Tuam Street, Christchurch.
