Special Inquiry.
Special inquiry is requested for Cornelius Brosnan or Brosnahan, alias O’Connor, an important witness in Rex v. William Higsins, alias O’Brien, alias Price, charged with assault and robbery at Napier on the 24th April last. (See current Gazette, pages 114 and 134.) Description: A native of Ireland, a labourer, forty-seven years of age, 5 ft. 7§ in. high, very stout build, slovenly gait, very large head and face ; swags about the country, and occasionally works at road contracts; dirty appearance ; very fond of drink ; strong South of Ireland accent. {See Police Gazette , 1899, page 55.) If found trace should be kept of him, and a wire forwarded to the Inspector of Police, Napier.
