Gisborne. —Piederick John Lysnar, sheepfarmer, Parikauapa, reports stolen, between the 4th and 26th December, 1899, a black horse, 14£ hands high, very thick set, saddle scar on back, heart branded on near shoulder; value, £10; and a chestnut horse, about 15 hands high, very large white patch on side of belly, brand not known ; value, £7.

Hawera. —William Evans reports stolen from a paddock, on the 12th or 13th December last, a chestnut hack-mare, aged, about 14 J hands high, white marks round neck, branded HP (conjoined) on near shoulder; walks stiff ; value, £3; and a bay hack mare, eight years old, about 15 hands high, branded T on near shoulder ; value, £6.

Hawera. —Mrs. Eliza Brown reports stolen from a paddock, on the 11th ultimo, a red cow, few white hairs about the horns, in full milk ; value, £5.

Patea. —Thomas E. Hamerton, journalist, reports stolen from a paddock, on the sth or 6th instant, a dark-brown gelding, aged, broken to saddle and harness, about 15£ hands high, strong build, grey hairs all over head, blotch brand on one shoulder (supposed the near one), back slightly drooped, shod all round ; value £l2.

Coalgate.— Henry Fisch, farmer, Papanui, reports stolen from a paddock at Hassendean Station, Wairiri Valley, between the 21st December, 1899, and 15th January, 1900, ten head of cattle, steers and heifers, eighteen months’ to three years’ old, some may be branded s.i. on near rump, and some may have a long slit in the near ear, and the tip cut off the right ear ; value, £25.

Alexandra South. —Alfred Larsen, dredge-manager, reports stolen from a paddock, on the 28th or 29th ultimo, a chestnut horse, hack breed, six years old, hands high, white star on forehead, harbed-wire marks on off shoulder, marks on each knee caused by a fall, newly shod all round, branded G on near shoulder ; value, £ls.
