Special Notice.
(Circular No. 13/99.) The number of unexecuted warrants is increasing from year to year, and I notice that an arrest very rarely occurs from information appearing in the Police Gazette. This tends to show that the police generally are not availing themselves of the particulars that appear in the Gazette. All men will in future carefully peruse the Gazette , and, in the principal centres, the officer parading the reliefs will see that this order is carried out. The Inspectors will also satisfy themselves that the utmost use is made of the Gazette, and that all men in their districts are acquainting themselves with the information contained therein. J. B. Tunbridge, 6th May, 1899. Commissioner of Police.
