Foisy.— lnformation is requested concerning Henry Foisy, the issue of the marriage of Victor Foisy with Marie Eugenie Cabardin, deceased. He is said to have come to New Zealand from Sydney about four years ago; that he was one of the shareholders of a diamond-field society in this colony; and that he died of diphtheria about two years ago, but no record of his death can be found in the Registrar-General’s Department. No description given. Inquiry is made by his brother, Victor Foisy, care of Widow Louis Thompson, 18 d’ Artois Street, Port Louis, Mauritius. (99/505.)

Description: Irish, a labourer, fifty-six years of age, 5 ft. 10 in. high, slight build, erect walk, dark complexion, brown hair and whiskers turning grey. Was seen in Auckland during December last. Inquiry is with the view of ascertaining if be is in a position to help his wife, who is in delicate health, and applying for charitable aid.

Sarah Varcoe is inquired for by the Dunedin police. Description: A native of New Zealand, a domestic servant, twenty-three years of age, 5 ft. 4 in. high, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, medium build. She left Dunedin for Lyttelton by the s.s. “Herald” on the 21st instant. Inquiry is for the purpose of compelling her to contribute towards the support of her child left in the care of Mrs. Rosevear, Fox Street, South Dunedin. If traced, information to be sent at once to the Inspector of Police, Dunedin.
