Sydney. —Two warrants have been issued by the Water Police Bench for the arrest of Edward L. Stodart, charged with embezzling the sum of £27 15s. 4d. on various dates, since January last, the property of his employers, Messrs. Fitzliardinge and Houston, solicitors, No. 62, Hunter Street. Offender is about forty years of age, sft. 7in. high, slender build, dark complexion, hollow under each eye, dark hair turning grey, full beard aud moustache, thin on sides, red nose; addicted to drink; a clerk ; dressed when last seen, on the 17th instant, in dark clothes and dark mackintosh. Brew t arrina. —A warrant has been issued by the Brewarrina Bench for the arrest of Armstrong, alias H. Bishop, charged with fraudulently obtaining the sum of £lB from J. N. Plowman, “ Beemery Hotel,” near Brewarrina, on the 16th ultimo. Offender is about twenty-two years of age, 6ft. high, slim build, knock-kneed, slovenly appearance, very small light moustache, dark complexion, cheeks little flushed; wore dark felt hat, blue-dungaree trousers, and coloured shirt; carrying small swag with leather hold-all inside. Supposed gone to Bourke cn route to Sydney and from there to New Zealand.

Armidale. —Warrants have been issued by the Armidale Bench for the arrest of Walter Harrison, alias Ginger, and Frederick Williams, alias Ryan, charged with conspiring to defraud Frederick William Dovell of the sum of £64, at Armidale. Harrison is thirty-seven years of age, sft. 7in. or Bin. high, stout build (16 stone), sandy hair, clean-shaved, grey eyes; tattooed, man on ball and heart in wreath right arm, star over wreath with sailor’s head, I over WAL over “ I Love Dare,” left forearm, and other tattoo-marks; dressed in light tweed coat, vest, and trousers, drab felt hat with hard rim. Ryan is twenty-two years ago, sft. 7in. high, stout build, sandy moustache, fair complexion, dark-brown hair, flash appearance, wears old-fashioned gold signet-ring; a butcher or miner. Offenders left Armidale by train for Newcastle on night of 29th ultimo, and may have gone to other colonies.
