Missing Friends.

Blyde. —lnformation is requested concerning the whereabouts of Albert Walter Blyde, a native of Sussex, England, a clerk, twenty-three years of age. sft. BJin. high, dark hair and eyelashes, grey or blue eyes, dimple and mole on chin, mole on left side of neck, one upper front tooth out, right hand covered with warts. He left Eltham, Taranaki, about the 14th January last, for Wellington, and expressed his intention of leaving the colony. Inquirer, Adele J. Nelson, formerly Goff, of New Plymouth, who is with child by him.

James Boylan or Lever is inquired for through the Napier Police with a view to compelling him to provide for

the support of liis illegitimate child. Description : English, a clerk, thirty-one years of age, 6ft. high, rather stout build, upright soldierly appearance, good looking, fair complexion, fair hair (inclined to curl), blue eyes, fair moustache only; well educated, and speaks Hindustani fluently. He is a great friend of criminal Alfred George Weippert (see Police Gazette, 1894, page 127), who would probably know his whereabouts.

Andrew Clark is inquired for by the Dunedin Police at the instance of his wife, and with the view of compelling him to provide for her maintenance. Description: Scotch (broad accent), a ploughman, fifty-two years of age, but looks younger, about oft. Bin. high, stout build, fair hair and complexion, reddish whiskers beard and moustache mixed with grey, dark-blue eyes, point off one finger (supposed lefthand), wears silver earrings; dressed, when last seen, in a light-check-tweed sac-suit and soft dark felt hat. Was at Oamaru on the 13th December, 1894, but no trace of him can be obtained there now.

Bain. —Information is requested concerning David Bain, forty-eight years of age, tall, dark, has been a sailor and cooper, a son of Alexander Bain (deceased), of Edinburgh, Scotland. He is said to have been employed on a Government dredge in this colony during the years 1880-81. Inquiry is made by B. Cooke, of Sydney, on behalf of the missing man’s two sisters. (P.W. 95/482.)
