Peak Hill. —A warrant has been issued by the Peak Hill Bench for the arrest of William Milner, charged with fraudulently obtaining the sum of £5 from William Bellamy on the 26th ultimo. Offender is about forty-five years of age, sft. sin. or 6in. high, very stout build, small eyes, darkbrown hair turning grey, clean-shaved except moustache ; has had one leg badly broken between the knee and ankle, but shows no sign of lameness ; dressed in a suit of dark-grey tweed and small-leaf soft felt hat. Supposed gone to Cobar, Nyngan, or Sydney, cn route to New Zealand.

S.S. “ Monowai.” —Stolen, on the sth instant, from a saloon cabin on board the s.s. “ Monowai,” whilst lying at Wellington (New Zealand) Harbour, the property of Mrs. Dawson, at present residing at the Coffee Palace, Emeson Street, Napier: A gold bar brooch, diamond shape, two Jubilee half-sovereigns on front, “Nora, Feby., 1892,” engraved on back of bar ; and a gold brooch, oblong shape, set with pearls, diamond in centre, “ Nora, Feby., 1893,” engraved on back : total value, £7.
