Deserters from Her Majesty's Service.
From H.M.S. “Rapid,” at Auckland. On 3rd August, 1894. John Leary, stoker, born at Roscarberry, County Cork, twenty-four years of age, sft. 7.lin. high, dark-brown hair, hazel eyes, ruddy Complexion. (See Police Gazette, 1894, page 133.) A reward of £3 is olfered for his arrest, in addition to £5 from the Colonial Government.
From H.M.S. “ Mildura,” at Sydney, On sth September, 1894.
Thomas Edward Elliott, ordinary seaman, twenty years of age, born at Beverley, Yorkshire, England, sft. 4in. high, light-brown hair, grey eyes, fair complexion; “ Florrie ” tattooed on back of right arm, “ Tom ” and “ True Love ” on back of left arm, shield and flag in front of left arm. Reward of £3 is offered for his arrest.
