Escaped Prisoner.
Wanganui. —George Harper escaped from the hard-labour gang employed at the Museum, Queen’s Park, at 3.45 p.m. on the 19th ultimo. Description : Irish, a gardener, an exconstable, forty-three years of age, looks younger, sft. ll£in. high, medium build, fair curly hair, fresh complexion, lightbrown eyes. (See Police Gazette, 1893, pages 24 and 99.) Photographed at Auckland on 27th December, 1892. He was undergoing a sentence of six months, and has been repeatedly convicted. Last heard of as having been at Poverty Flat, Wanganui, at 9 p.m. on the above date.
