Discharge on Compensation. Constable Francis James Taylor, No. 333

Dismissal. Constable John Bell, No. 616.

Rewards. Sergeant R. Gamble and Constable J. Addison, Auckland Police, have been awarded £2 and £3 respectively for arresting two stragglers and an absentee from H.M.S. “ Orlando.” (92/1190.) Constable John Burrows, Invercargill Police, has been awarded £5 by the Southland Acclimatisation Society for zeal in obtaining convictions for illegally killing native game. (92/1193.) Constable M. Rogers, Blenheim Police, has been awarded ss. for recovering a stolen dog. (92/1179.)

Constable T. O’Rourke, Otaki Police, has been awarded £5 by the Wellington Acclimatisation Society in recognition of his energy in chocking poaching. (92/1205.) Constables J. Watt and M. McKecfry, Ahaura and Greymouth Police, have been awarded £5 ss. each in recognition of their services in obtaining a conviction against J. Bracegirdle for sly grog-selling at No Town. (92/1208.)

Constable T. O’Brien, Auckland Police, has been awarded £3 for arresting an absentee belonging to H.M.S. “ Ringarooma.” (92/1215.) Constables W. Walker and C. Hogg, Auckland District Police, have been awarded £2 and £1 respectively by the Acclimatisation Society for obtaining convictions under the Animals Protection Act. (92/1216.) Sergeant J. O’Malley, and Constables T. Breen, T. J. McCormick, G. Fitzgerald, P. Roe, and C. J. Moore, Lyttelton Police, have been awarded 13s. 4d. each for putting refractory seamen on board the s.s. “ Duke of Buckingham.” (92/1221.) Sergeant J. Fleming and Constable J. A. Ferguson, Gore Police, have been awarded £2 10s. each for obtaining a conviction against John Russell, fined £2O and costs for selling liquor without being duly licensed. (92/1219.)
