Absconding from Industrial Schools.
Arrowtown. —Martin Carroll absconded from the licensed*' service of Edward Fitzgibbon, Arrow Junction, during the-/ night of the 9th March last. Description; Fifteen years of age, about sft. 4in. higli, stout build, freckled face, red hair, front tooth out; dressed in dark-tweed suit, soft-tweed hat, and watertight boots; probably has a blue-blanket swag. Supposed to have gone to Southland, over the Staircase. His mother resides at Woodhaugh, Dunedin. If found in respectable employment he may be allowed to remain, and a report sent to the Inspector of Police, Dunedin.

Naseby. —John Hayes absconded from the licensed service of A. Trotter, Hyde, on the 13th ultimo. Description: Sixteen years of age, about sft. 2in. high, stout build, reddish hair; wearing a blue dungaree jumper and moleskin trousers. If in respectable employment he may he allowed to remain, but, if leading a vagrant life, to be returned to the Caversham Industrial School. He will probably make for some rabbiter’s camp.
