Missing Friends.

Information is requested respecting H. Von Lorch, a German, about thirty years of age, medium height, strong build, reserved disposition, and gentlemanly bearing, speaks English fluently, and is well conversant with mercantile business and nautical matters. He lived for a number of years in San Francisco, and was last seen in Paris on the 4th May, 1881, and it is thought may have come to this colony. A reward of SSO is offered for the first information received as to his whereabouts.. Photograph in Commissioner’s office.

Information is requested respecting John Bippingdale, a native of Ireland, a carpenter, about twenty-eight years of age, sft. Bin. high, medium build, fair complexion, nose slightly . turned up, fair hair beard whiskers and mous-

tache, worn short. He was heard of at Oamaru about three years ago. It is thought he may have gone to Sydney. He is inquired for at the instance of his mother, who resides at Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland.

Information is requested respecting David Bothwick, a native of Lyttelton, fifteen years of age, about sft. 4in. high, medium build, fair hair and complexion, round features, blue eyes ; wore old dark-tweed suit (the sleeves of coat and legs of trousers are lengthened with black cloth) and black soft felt hat. He left the Bacecourse Hill Bailway-station on the 6th instant by train for Christchurch. He may go to Lyttelton or Leeston. It is supposed he will endeavour to go to sea. If found, please inform the Malvern Police, so that his friends may send for him.

Information is requested respecting Thomas Webb, a native of England, a labourer, formerly a railway-porter at Wellington, about thirty-five years of age, sft. Bin. high, medium build, brown hair whiskers and moustache, chin shaved. His wife is in the Wellington Lunatic Asylum, but he is supposed to be living with another woman who passes as his wife. It is said he came to Wellington from Auckland in May, 1885, but only remained a few days, when he returned to Auckland. He is inquired for at the instance of the. Public Trustee, Wellington.

Information is requested respecting Sarah Kelly, a native of the colony, a domestic servant, seventeen years of age, medium height, fresh complexion, full face, dark-reddish hair. She was seen in Auckland on the 20th ultimo, in the company of a pockpitted man, with whom she is supposed to be living. She is inquired for at the instance of her mother, who resides in Dublin Street, Ponsonby, Auckland.

David Thomas Bichabd Wheeler, alias Bichard Wheeler, has been found at Wedderburn, Naseby District. He was recently arrested by Constable William Bell, St. Bathan’s Police, for deserting his family, &c., and was ordered to pay 10s. per week towards the support of his children, or, in default, fourteen days’ labour.

Information is requested respecting William James, English, a labourer, about thirty-six years of age, about sft. 6in. or 7in. high, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, small beard whiskers and moustache of a brown-reddish colour. He was employed for a number of years in stores at the Kaipara, and was last heard of in the Wairarapa District. He has left his son destitute in the Wanganui District.
