Deserters from Her Majesty’s Service.

James Dwyer, Walter C. Hodgson, George Brown, Henry Benjeyfield, and Charles Ljmn are charged on warrants with deserting from Her Majesty’s ship “ Nelson,” at Auckland, on the sth ultimo. Description: Dwyer is a native of Cahir, County Tipperary, a stoker, about twenty years of age, sft. lOJin. high, fresh complexion, brown hair, and blue eyes. Hodgson is a native of Essex, nineteen years of age, sft. 6in. high, fresh complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, American crest on right forearm. Brown is a native of Stratford, England, eighteen years of age, sft. lin. high, ruddy complexion, dark-brown hair, hazel eyes. Benjeyfield is a native of Somerset, England, nineteen years of age, sft. sin. high, fair complexion, light hair, blue eyes, anchor tattooed on left arm. Lyon is a native of Surrey, eighteen years of age, sft. 4in. high, dark complexion, black hair, and dark eyes, CL tattooed on right arm and T on left arm. A reward of £3 each is offered for their arrest, in addition to £5 reward offered by the Colonial Government.

John Young, Frederick O’Neill, William Deane, and Henry Llewellyn are charged on warrants with deserting from Her Majesty’s ship “ Nelson,” on the 16th and 20th ultimo and on the Ist instant. Description: Young is a native of Boston, Lincolnshire, an ordinary-seaman, nineteen years of age, sft. 2in. high, fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, flags tattooed on right hand. O’Neill is a native of Boston, Lincolnshire, an ordinary-seaman, nineteen years of age, sft. 6in. high, fair complexion, light-brown hair, grey eyes, clasped hands tattooed on back of right hand. Deane is a native of St. Peters, Derby, a private Royal Marine Light Infantry, twenty-two years of age, sft. 6Jin. high, dark complexion, hazel eyes, dark hair, tattoo-mark on left forearm. Llewellyn is a native of Stroud, Gloucester, boy, firstclass, eighteen years of age, sft. lin. high, dark complexion, hazel eyes, dark-brown hair. A reward of £3 each is offered for their arrest, in addition to £5 reward offered by the Colonial Government. The Government desires special exertions to be made towards effecting the arrest of the deserters from Her Majesty’s ship “ Nelson.”

Patrick Casey is charged with deserting from Her Majesty’s ship “Swinger,” at Sydney, on the Ist ultimo. Description: A native of Killarney, Ireland, a ward-room steward, nineteen years of age, sft. 3in. high, pale complexion, bluish-grey eyes, dark-brown hair, anchor tattooed on left arm, and a spot on left hand. A reward of £3 is offered for his arrest, in addition to £5 reward offered by the Colonial Government.
