Horse- and Cattle-Stealing.

Pene Hakaiiaka and Tiahuia, Maoris, are charged, on warrant issued by the Cambridge Bench, with stealing, on or about the 6tli ultimo, from Maungatautari, a red bullock, since recovered, value £6, the property of Hore Wirihana. Description: Pone Hakahaka is about thirty years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, medium build, small dark whiskers and moustache; can speak a little English. Tiahuia is about twenty years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, slight build, very small moustache, a few hairs on chin. They sold the bullock on the 6tli ultimo to John Arnold, at Cambridge. Pene Hakahaka is supposed to be in the Piako country ; and Tiahuia is said to be at the Aratitaha Native Settlement, King country.

Supposed stolen during the night of the 11th instant, from a paddock at Blenheim, a light-bay mare, four years old, 15 hands high, in good condition, oblique blaze down face, hind fetlocks white, mane about six inches long, long tail, no visible brands; the property of Alexander Poddie; value £lO. He went towards the East Coast.

Supposed stolen between the 24th ultimo and Ist instant, from Major Smith’s run, near Masterton, a roan-and-white cow, in calf, five years old; and a red-and-white heifer, four years old, in very good condition; both branded £> on near rump; the property of James Ewington; value £8 each. Identifiable.

Stolen on the 18th or 19th ultimo, from the stable of Thomas Bambridge, at Ponsonby, Auckland, a bay gelding, star on forehead, no visible brands ; the property of Messrs. Harrison, Lees, and Bradford ; value £2O. Identifiable.
