Stolen between the 3rd and sth instant, from a trunk on board the steamer “ Rotorua,” between Wellington and Picton, or at Picton or Blenheim, a suit of navy-blue, diagonal pattern, No. 4 size, and a pair of brownish-tweed trousers, No. 3 size, the property of Daniel Jobberns; value £6. Identifiable.

Stolen between the 2nd and 6th instant, from a box on board the brigantine “ Circe,” at Lyttelton, a dark-brown Russian leather pocket-book, containing a £5 note on the Colonial Bank, Invercargil, and a £1 note, the property of Nils Andersen. Pocket-book identifiable. Suspicion attached to Charles Fisher, the mate, and William Henry Buchanan, the cook and steward of the vessel.

Seymour is an Englishman, a sailor, about thirty years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, stout build, dark complexion, dark hair, small dark whiskers and moustache. Ryan is an Englishman, a sailor, about twenty-six years of age, fair complexion and hair. They left Timaru on the 7th instant by the steamer “ Rotorua ” for Dunedin.

A dog answering the description of Mr. Palmer’s was seen in the possession of three boys at Saddle Hill on the 9th instant; they carried swags, and went towards Dunedin.

Matthews. Identifiable.

Saddle identifiable; identification of bridle and breastplate doubtful.
