Deserters from Merchant Vessels.

F. Hansen, W. Peterson, C. Jacobson, O. Martin, B. Zeihohu, M. Peterson, S. Rerenson, and A. Anderson, seamen, are charged with deserting from the barque “ Deva,” at Bluff Harbour, between the 7th and 9th instant. Description : Hansen is a German, twenty-six years of ago, 5 feet 7 inches high, light-blue eyes, fair hair and complexion. Peterson is a Scandinavian, twenty-three years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, fair hair and complexion, no hair on face, scar on right cheek. Jacobson is a Dutchman, twenty-seven years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, very fair complexion, fair hair, no hair on face except small light moustache, walks with a very short step. Martin is a Norwegian, seventeen years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, very stout build, full fat face, very blue eyes, fair hair and complexion. Zeihohu is a Dutchman, forty-two years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout build, fair hair and complexion, pockpitted, fair beard whiskers and moustache. Peterson is a Dutchman, twenty-three years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, fair hair and complexion, full face, and full soft blue eyes. Rerenson is a Norwegian, twenty years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, sallow complexion, dark hair, no hair on face, delicate appearance. Anderson is a German, forty years of age, 6 feet high, fair complexion and hair, sandy beard whiskers and moustache, very large hands and feet. None of them can speak English except Anderson. A reward of £2 each is offered for their arrest if effected before the barque leaves the Bluff, which will be about the Ist proximo.
