Daniel Davey is charged, on warrant issued by the Kaiapoi Bench, with disobeying an order to provide for the support of his two children in the Caversham Industrial School. He is supposed to be in the Hurunui District.

Alexander Hastings Malcolm is charged, on warrant issued by the Wellington Bench, with intending to desert his wife, at Palmerston North, on the 27th ultimo. Description : English, late a partner in the firm of Gillet Brothers and Co., spirit merchants, Wellington and Palmerston North, about thirty-two years of age, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, stout build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair whiskers and moustache. He left Wellington on the 22nd ultimo by the steamer “ Manapouri,” supposed for Auckland. It is supposed he left Auckland on the 27th ultimo by the steamer “Penguin ” for Samoa, via Fiji, accompanied by a Miss Williams, alias Willis, twenty-one years of age, medium height and build, fresh complexion, grey eyes, brown hair, square face and chin.
