Deserters from Merchant Vessels.

J. D. Mahoney is charged with deserting from the steamer “ lonic,” at Port Chalmers, on the 20th ultimo. Description : Irish, an able seaman, thirty-five years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark fresh complexion, dark hair, clean-shaved except moustache, rather good-looking.

Thomas Anderson and John Kruskoff, able seamen, are charged with deserting from the ship “ Indian Empire,” at Port Chalmers, on tHe 23rd ultimo. Anderson is a Norwegian, twenty-seven years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout build, fair complexion, fair hair and small fair moustache, a few straggling hairs on face. Kruskoff is a Norwegian, thirty-two years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, stout build, fair complexion, brown hair heard whiskers and moustache, swaggering gait.

Alfred Olive is charged, on warrant issued by the Wellington Bench, with deserting from the barque “ Estrella,” at Wellington, during the night of the 23rd ultimo. Description: English, a ship-steward, twenty-three years of age, about 5 feet 5 inches high, medium build, dark complexio and hair, clean-shaved except dark moustache; usually wears dark clothes and long dark overcoat.

Carl Heinr Willer, H. S. Anderson, and Peter Jansen, able seamen, are charged, on warrants issued by the Wellington Bench, with deserting from the barque “ Estrella,” at Wellington, on tiie 30th ultimo or Ist instant. Description : Wilier is a German, about twenty-five years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, stout build, fair complexion, fair hair heard whiskers and moustache, large blue eyes. Anderson is a Dane, twenty-three years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, stout build, fair complexion, light hair, clean-shaved except fair moustache. Jansen is a Dane, twenty-eight years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, stout build, dark complexion, dark hair, short dmk beard whiskers and moustache, squints,

J. E. Morris, Albert Hallingburg, Tassorum Kromfrum, and C. Parris, able seamen, are charger], on warrants issued by the Wellington Bench, with deserting from the barque “ Dora Ann,” at Wellington, between the 26th and 30th ultimo. Description : Morris is a Welshman, about thirty years of age, about 5 feet 10 inches high, slight build, fair complexion, reddish hair heard whiskers and moustache; stoops when walking. Hallingburg is a German, about twenty-five years of age, about, 5 feet 4 inches high, medium build, fair complexion, fair hair, clean-shaved except fair moustache. Kromfrum is a German, about twent yfive years of ago, about 5 feet 6 inches high, stout build, fair complexion, full round face, fair hair, no bail* on face, speaks bad English. Parris is a Scandinavian, about twenty-eight years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, medium bnihl, dark complexion, dark hair beard and moustache, checks shaved. A reward of £2 each is offered for their arrest.
