G. S. Skinner is charged, on warrant issued by the Wellington Bench, with forging and uttering a cheque for £1 ss. to Walter Smart, in Manners Street, Wellington, on or about the 15th ultimo. Description : English, supposed to be a clerk, about twenty-three years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, slight build, fair complexion, sandy hair, clean-shaved except small sandy moustache, short nose ; dressed in grey-tweed suit and round grey-tweed hat, no necktie; rather respectable ap-

pearance ; fond of smoking cigarettes, and blows the smoke through his nostrils ; addicted to drink, and frequents brothels. He is supposed to have gone to Wanganui. The cheque is drawn on the Bank of New Zealand, Te Aro, payable to “ A. Cameron,” and signed “ J. McLean.”

Samuel Both well is charged, on warrant issued by the Beefton Bench, with personating one Patrick Kelly, at the Inangahua County Council election for Antonio’s Biding, at Antonio’s Flat, on the 16th ultimo. Description: Supposed Irish, twenty-six years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, whiskers, and moustache ; dressed in dark coat, tweed trousers and vest, and black hat. He was seen at Lyell on the 24th ultimo.

Bill Eowland is charged with having indecently exposed his person to Annie Willoughby and others, at Timaru, on tho 30th ultimo and Ist instant. Description: English, a labourer, about thirty-five years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, stiff’ build, reddish face, hair inclined to be sandy, reddish moustache, whiskers shaved off about three weeks ago ; dressed in dark or dark-brown coat, dirty-brown-moleskin trousers, and dark-felt hat; carried a blue-blanket swag. He is well known in the Ashburton and Bakaia Districts.
