A MAN, name unknown, is charged, on warrant issued by the Wellington Bench, with being illegally in the dwelling of Colonel Edward Pearce, Abel Smith Street, Wellington, with his boots off, at 1 o’clock on the morning of the Bth instant. Description: A Dane, a labourer, about thirty-five years of age, 5 feet high, stout build, fair complexion, fair hair, beard, whiskers, and moustache; wore dirty grey-tweed suit and soft, drab-felt hat. He is supposed to be identical with Andreas Thorson, alias Andrew Torson. (See Police Gazette, 1881, page 78.)

James Kennedy, charged on warrant with embezzling two bridles, &c., the property of James South, has beeu arrested by Inspector Peter Pender, Timaru Police.
John Symington is charged, on warrant issued at Christchurch, with embezzling £1 65., on the 11th instant, at Springfield Road, the money of Henry Knight, by whom he was employed. Description: Scotch, an assistant-butcher, about thirty years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, medium build, fresh complexion, dai’k-hlue eyes, dark-brown hair, beard, whiskers, and moustache; wore light-tweed suit and soft low black hat.
Thomas Thompson is charged, on warrant issued by the Hawera Bench, with embezzling £l, at Normanby, about the 9th ultimo, the.money of his employer, William Lilly England. Description : A Dane, a carter, twenty-five years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout build, fair florid complexion, rather large features with rather high cheek-bones, small reddish beard and moustache, cheeks shaved, holds his head down when walking; wore brown-twill suit, vest with sleeves, and light-coloured soft alpine hat with broad brim. He was seen at Inglewood on the sth instant. It is believed that he formerly lived in the Manawatu District.
Annie Giffen, aged sixteen years, reports that about 7.30 p.m. on the 17th instant, at Beaumont Road, near Lawrence, she was assaulted by a Chinaman, name unknown, with intent to commit a rape. The girl says she cannot describe the offender. The case appears doubtful.
A man, name unknown, is charged with having indecently exposed his person to Mrs. George Frederick Ritso, at the corner of Madras Street and Latimer Square, Christchurch, about 8 p.m. on the 15th instant. Description: Between twenty-five and thirty years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, medium build, very pale complexion, small beard, looked like a clerk; wore long dark overcoat, light-coloured trousers, and small dark hat; respectable appearance; spoke with a whining voice. Supposed identifiable.
A MAN, name unknown, is charged with having indecently exposed his person to Mrs. C. H. Williams, in Park Terrace, Christchurch, at 5.30 p.m. on the 15th instant. Description: Between twenty-five and thirty years of age, tall active appearance, medium build, supposed to have small whiskers; wore brownish coat, coloured shirt, white-moleskin trousers, and deerstalker hat with large round crown and medium brim.
