Deserting Wives and Families, &c.

Thomas Wallace is charged, on -warrant issued by the Hamilton Bench, with deserting his wife at Hamilton, since April, 1875. Description: Scotch, a carpenter, about thirtyfour years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, medium build, ruddy complexion, fair hair and whiskers. He had been in tho 70th Regiment. He is supposed to be residing in the Hawke’s Bay District.

George Edward Thomas is charged with absconding from the Industrial School at Caver sham, on the 29th November last. James Ellen is charged, on warrant issued by the Christchurch Bench, with failing to provide his son, aged eleven years, with adequate means of support, at Eyreton, since the beginning of December last. Description: English, a labourer, thirty years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, slight build, small features, brown hair, thin brown beard, whiskers, and moustache. It is supposed he has gone South to work on a railway line or at road-making.
