CROP STATISTICS.
Figures issued by the Government Statistician give particulars of certain crops in the Dominion for the' season 1915-16, as follows : Barley' (for threshing only), 28,653 acres, yield per acre 28-52 bushels; rye-grass, 42,248 acres, yield per acre 18-44 bushels of 20 lb. ; cocksfoot, 13,630 acres, yield per acre 120-36 lb. ; potatoes, 28,053 acres, yield per acre 4-56 tons. The figures are subject to slight revision on account of . outstanding returns. •’ Details of the wheat and oat crops are published on page 254. ■
