STOCK SLAUGHTERED.
The following statistics show the numbers of live-stock slaughtered at the meatfreezing works and municipal abattoirs throughout the Dominion in the years ended 30th June, 1913-16. The increase in the number of cows slaughtered is particularly worthy of notice. -
