NAPIER PARK RACING CLUB.
This meeting follows the week after the Gisborne Racing Club’s meeting, and the weights appear in another column. The jumping races contain the names of many useful horses which will be taking part at the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s meeting on June 30th and July Ist, and at Wellington later on, and each succeeding meeting should be successfully carried through, as there are apparently plenty of jumping horses if they are distributed, and there
nominations close on June 23rd for all events excepting the Trial Plate and Selling Race. The Wellington Steeplechase is worth lOGOsovs., and the Anzac and July Steeplechases 400sovs. and 500sovs. respectively. The Winter Hurdles is worth 600sovs. and Final Hurdle Handicap 35050v5., and there are minor hurdle and steeplechase races with hack and hunter conditions, a Jumpers’ Flat Race, the Parliamentary Handicap of 400sovs., and other open fiat races each day, as well as hack flat races distributed over the three days, a Trial Plate and a Selling Race. The programme, indeed, provides such a variety of events that owners of horses North and South should not fail to give it their consideration. The Wellington Racing Club deserve a bumper entry.
