NORTHERN WAIROA RACING CLUB.

The nominations received for this meeting, which takes place on the 22nd inst., comprise a good many of the same horses engaged at the Wha-

ngarei and Kawakawa meetings, and a few additional ones. The trip up or down the Northern Wairoa river to Dargaville and to the racing rendezvous is an enjoyable one. The course is one of the finest country courses in the North Island, and the club have expended a lot of money there and should receive the support they deserve from those who have in the past contended that the North had been neglected in the matter of racing permits.
