WAIKATO HUNT.

The old-established Waikato Hunt will hold their first totalisator meeting at Cambridge on Labour Day, October 25th, and will give £6OO in stakes for seven races, the chief of which will be- the Waikato Hunt Cup Steeplechase, of 12550v5., lOOsovs. in cash and a cup, value 25sovs., presented by the Pakuranga Hunt for qualified hunters. The Maiden Hunters’ Steeplechase, of 75sovs., is for qualified hunters that have never won a stake of 50sovs., the Hunters’ Hurdles, of 75sovs., with similar conditions, the Victoria Park Hack Race, of 75sovs„ for horses that have never won a flat race of 50sovs. or over. The Instow Welter (open race), of 120sovs., the Bardowie Handicap, of 80sovs., for horses that have never won a flat race of lOOsovs. at time of starting, and the Ladies’ Bracelet, of 50sovs., for qualified hunters, gentlemen riders, th© rider of the winner to receive a gold-mounted whip, presented by Mr. C.
