NAPIER PARK RACING CLUB.

The Napier Park Racing Club are out with quite an attractive pregramme of events for their June meeting, quite the best put before owners at this time of the year since the club started operations. The Napier Park Steeplechase is worth oOOsovs., of which sum 65sovs. goes to the second and 35sovs. to the third horse, and on the second day the Park Steeplechase is worth 300sovs. The Petane Steeplechase on the first day and the Hunt Club Steeplechase on the second are of minor value, but are not likely to be less interesting on that account. The Hunt Club event has a 20 guineas’ cup, the gift of Mr. J. H. McNiven, to go with the first prize, and the second prize is a gold watch bracelet worth 17 guineas. The hack and open hurdle events number four in all. The Stewards’ Stakes is worth 25050v5., and the Winter Oats Handicap 175sovs. A Ladies’ Bracelet, for gentlemen riders, for bracelets worth 80 guineas and 20 guineas respectively, a Settlers’ Hack and two other flat hack races are also amongst the attractions. cured twenty-four loose boxes, together with a four-roomed cottage with sleeping accommodation for attendants on the horses, for the use of which early application will need to be made.
