ROUND THE PICTURE SHOWS.
» — * QUEEN’S THEATRE. “ For East is East ” is calling big audiences to Queen’s Theatre. Founded on Kipling’s quotation, it is a powerful drama of Indian life, fairlv bristling with startling sensations. It tells of the adventures- of an officer in a search to rescue his wife, who has been carried off by a native prince. The husband is captured by the natives and tied up in a den of pythons. His wife, however, manages to rescue him. and the prince is strangled bv the snakes, and the cfficer and his wife at length escape. To relieve the tension comes “Caught Courting,” in which Miaurice Costello is featured making love to a nursemaid, who turns out to be an heiress. A clever mosquito film, showing the antics of a victim at the mercy of the insect, causes much merriment. St. Patrick’s demonstration on Saturday *s cepicted * y the Queen’s Weekl z Chronicle, and a couple of other diverting pictures contribute to a capital programme.
