MARIST BROS’. CLUB.

At the Marist Bros’, clubrooms in Pitt-street, last week, a billiard tournament which has created a good deal of interest amongst those participating and others, was brought to a close the final game, 250 up, between Bros. McCullough (40 behind) and Mullavey (10 on) resulting in a win for the backmarker by the small margin of 16. The winners best efforts were 29, 22, 21, and 20 while Bros. Mullavey’s best cue realised 17. The caretaker J. McDevitt had the table in good order and Bro. Geo. Farrell carried out the arrangement for the tournament, leaving no room for complaint.
