FIRST DAY. The Southland Racing Club’s Autumn Meeting was opened in perfect weather. The course was in good order and the attendance fair. The totalisator handled £3364, an increase of £376 on the corresponding day last yea:. Nine bookmakers were licensed, their fees amounting to £127 10s.
