THE AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.

The Hon. E. Mitchelson was in the chair at the ordinary monthly meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Committee on Monday. The disqualification of Mrs Elwarth and the horse Maori Bill for racing at unregistered meetings was removed. The disqualification imposed by the Kawakawa Racing Club on the horse Hukerenui and H. Johnson, A. Mclnnes, and Innes McKenzie for five years for ringing in Te Aroha as Hukerenui was endorsed. Trainers’ licenses were granted to George Morris and F. Tonge, and jockeys’ licenses to James Virtue and C. J. Lyttle. The suspension of the jockey B. Towers was removed and a license granted. Gentleman riders’ licenses were granted to Messrs S. G. Worsp, Harold Cotter, George Paul, Ernest Alison, Guy Ring, and J. D. Kemp. At a meeting of the A.R.C. Committee, held subsequently, the recent death of Mr G. G. Stead was referred to and it was decided to send a letter of condolence to Mrs Stead. The following transfers were passed;—W. Percival to S. A. Taylor, brown filly by Merriwee— St. Olga; Cambria Park Stud Company to S. A. Taylor, bay filly by Eton—Guinevere ; T. H. Lowry to J. Williams, brown gelding, 2yrs, by The Possible — Lady Helen; John Marshall to W. H. Paterson, chestnut filly by Menschikoff— Balbirnie; Cambria Park Stud Company to the Hon. J. Carroll, bay filly by Eton— Kitiroa; W. Walters to the Hon. J. Carroll, brown filly by Soult—Goldweb. Accounts amounting to were passed for payment. A statement of receipts in connection with the autumn meeting, showing a substantial profit, was laid on the table. It was decided to charge bookmakers at the winter meeting per day and 10s per day for clerk, applications to be lodged by noon on Thursday, the 21 st inst.
